Polythylene Terephthalate or PET for short is the most common thermoplastic polymer in use today. It is used in a large range of products, which can be found both domestically and commercially.
Infrared for many years has been used in the plastics industry. Victory’s newest range of infrared lamps have been specifically developed to provide improved performance while at the same time having a lower power consumption.
Along with our existing comprehensive range of linear quartz lamps, we have recently developed our ESE range.
These new lamps have been developed by our experienced technical team. Using new technology, the lamps provide increased performance with a lower energy consumption.
With energy prices continually rising, end users look at ways to reduce this impact. With their lower power consumption, the cost savings of the new ESE lamps from Victory can help.
Victory PET lamps provide more heat and last longer.
Short Wave and Near Infrared models available
Victory PET reflector lamps focus IR heat forward in the direction where it is required, reducing the loss of heat to the rear and improving efficiency.
A reflective coating is applied to the surface of the lamp, usually covering 180° of the quartz tube. Infrared heat is emitted forward through the quartz tubing, or is reflected off the back of the tube to then pass out from the front.
Tests of Victory PET lamps against a major competitor show that they provide more heat energy per Watt, so will save money for the user. They also have longer life than many competitors, which reduces replacement cost.
That is why Victory PET lamps are used by many OEM equipment suppliers throughout the world, and are the first choice of replacement lamp by PET manufacturers.
A clear uncoated lamp emits heat in all directions. Without a reflector, a large proportion can be wasted.
A reflector coating redirects heat towards the substrate resulting in improved performance and energy savings.
The irradiance graph opposite shows that a clear lamp emits energy uniformly in all directions, while a reflector lamp has higher output in the 0-180 degree range (front of lamp) and reduced output in the 180 - 0 sector (rear of lamp)
