Infrared Lamps and Systems

The versatility and efficiency of infrared lamps make them invaluable in both industrial and domestic settings.

Infrared (IR) technology uses electromagnetic radiation to generate heat, offering highly efficient, targeted energy transfer. It works by emitting infrared radiation that is absorbed by objects and surfaces, directly heating them without the need for intermediary air heating, making it ideal for a range of industrial applications.

At Victory Lighting, we harness the power of infrared technology to provide advanced solutions that improves production processes. Our product offerings include infrared lamps that provide precise, controllable heating for a variety of applications, infrared heaters designed for efficient, localised heat delivery, and infrared paint dryers that accelerate drying times while maintaining product quality. We also offer infrared drying and curing ovens, perfect for rapid and uniform curing of coatings, adhesives, and other materials. These products are engineered to deliver maximum energy efficiency, reduce production times, and improve overall output, making infrared technology a key component of our industrial solutions.

We have an extensive range of Infrared lamps and emitters at varying wavelengths to ensure we can offer the correct solution to your exact application to determine the very best IR emitter for exactly what you require; be it curing, coating, drying, heating and many other applications.

Infrared technology offers rapid and energy-efficient heating. Unlike conventional methods, it directly heats objects or surfaces without warming the surrounding air, resulting in faster temperature control, making this ideal for applications like industrial drying, space heating, and food processing.

Victory Lighting’s state-of-the-art R&D facility exemplifies its commitment to innovation in infrared technology. By investing in cutting-edge research, we help develop advanced solutions tailored to specific industry needs, driving efficiency and sustainability in heating, curing, and beyond.

Victory Lighting delivers cost-effective solutions by integrating energy-efficient infrared technology into its products. Because we care about our customers, we also offer cost-effective replacement lamp options without compromising on quality or efficiency.

Industries and Applications

Infrared technology is transforming industries with its efficient, precise, and versatile heating solutions, driving productivity and improving outcomes across various sectors. In dentistry, it speeds up procedures like fillings and bonding by enabling rapid curing of materials. Automotive manufacturers rely on it for curing coatings and drying paints, the best finishes. In engineering, infrared heating accelerates drying and curing processes, boosting production speed without compromising quality. The railway sector uses it for maintaining and curing components to enhance durability, while in food processing, infrared dryers ensure faster production while preserving flavor and nutrition.

Its disinfection applications effectively eliminate bacteria and viruses, making it valuable in healthcare and public spaces. Infrared-powered heating systems provide targeted, energy-efficient warmth in industrial and commercial settings. In health products, it’s used in saunas and therapeutic devices for benefits like pain relief and improved circulation. Plastic moulding and forming processes depend on infrared for rapid, consistent heating, improving both efficiency and quality. Recycling facilities use it for precise material separation, while mould elimination benefits from its ability to destroy spores and prevent growth in buildings.

Water purification systems leverage infrared to disinfect and treat water, targeting harmful pathogens. In printing, infrared ensures quick ink drying for higher production rates. Glass processing benefits from controlled heat application to prevent thermal stress, and the aerospace sector uses it for curing coatings and adhesives, ensuring critical component durability. Textiles and wood processing also gain from infrared technology, with textiles drying faster without damage and lumber retaining quality during efficient drying processes. From health to manufacturing, infrared technology continues to redefine what’s possible across industries.

Automotive In-Line Processing Using IR Heating

An example from the construction of a new process line for an automotive factory. This has helped reduce the cost and energy consumption of the process while at the same time reduced the line length by over 60m. A process that used to take 20 minutes to complete is now performed in 3 minutes (only the heating stage is shown here on the demonstration unit).

Paint curing in the automotive industry

Using Short wave infrared for curing paint can provide many benefits to the Automotive Industry. By using Victory Lighting’s shortwave IR paint driers, drying times are significantly reduced as well as improved energy efficiency compared to other curing methods. As short wave IR penetrates into the substrate of the material being cured, creating an even heat distribution which stops the paint from skinning or cracking.
