Disinfection

Ultraviolet-C (UVC) light is a powerful tool in the fight against harmful pathogens, revolutionising disinfection practices across industries. Victory Lighting, a leader in innovative IR and UV lighting solutions, harnesses this technology to deliver highly effective, environmentally friendly, and reliable disinfection systems.

How UVC Disinfection Works

UVC light operates in the 200-280 nanometer wavelength range, a spectrum capable of inactivating bacteria, viruses, and fungi by disrupting their DNA or RNA, rendering them unable to replicate. Unlike chemical disinfectants, UVC light leaves no residues, making it a sanitisation clean and efficient.

UV cleaning works by using ultraviolet light, specifically UV-C light, to disinfect surfaces, air, and water. The high-energy UV-C light penetrates the cell walls of microorganisms, disrupting their DNA or RNA preventing microorganisms from replicating and renders them inactive or dead.

  • Energy Efficient: Highly efficient at killing a wide range of bacteria, viruses & moulds.
  • Chemical Free: Chemical free so eliminates the risk of harmful & irritating chemicals.
  • Fast: Acting working quickly to sterilise surfaces and objects in seconds.

Using UVC light for UV cleaning is effective against bacteria, viruses, moulds, and other pathogens. It is widely used in healthcare, water treatment, and air purification systems due to its ability to quickly and efficiently eliminate a wide range of harmful microbes without the use of chemicals. With the number and variety of applications for ultraviolet lamps growing steadily, the UV LED offers a range of key advantages compared with traditional technologies.

Applications Across Industries

Victory Lighting’s UVC solutions cater to a broad spectrum of industries:

  • Healthcare: UVC devices sterilise hospital rooms, surgical equipment, and air systems, reducing hospital-acquired infections.
  • Food and Beverage: UVC is used to sanitise packaging, surfaces, and water systems without introducing harmful chemicals.
  • Public Spaces: Airports, schools, and office buildings benefit from UVC-based air and surface disinfection, promoting safer environments.
  • Industrial: Victory’s UVC technology ensures contamination-free processes in pharmaceutical and electronics manufacturing.

We also manufacture and offer UVC LED modules & systems for surface cleaning and disinfection.
