Which Lamps Give The Least Glare

Patio Heaters Lamp Comparison

Short wave Infrared has huge benefits for a wide variety of applications and in particular, comfort heating.

The 90% radiant heat of SW technology makes it ideal as wind and other factors don’t affect the performance the same as other heat sources.

The only slight downside is the glare that is emitted from the IR lamp. Clear lamps are far too bright for comfort heating as it detracts from the enjoyment of sitting outside.

Ruby lamps were then developed after that, which made a significant difference to clear but still very bright and the red colour can be irritable.

Gold lamps became the norm 20 + years ago as there was a clear difference from Ruby lamps but never quite the full solution.

Platinum lamps have since been developed exclusively by Victory and give the lowest lumen level on the market coupled with a duller mauve colour to ensure its place as the best comfort heating lamp on the market.
